Giving back to the community is something Lilliput Play Homes has done for years through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, Salvation Army, and many more. Recently, we were able to work with the employees of Cox Communications in Sierra Vista, AZ in their efforts to help raise funds for their local chapter of Habitat of Humanity.
Challenged to help them design and build a "Space Playhouse" (a little different than our original Victorian styling!) for their mascot, Digi, our Design Team and carpenters rallied to help the generous and hard-working employees of Cox Communications.
This "space playhouse," along with the other exhibits, will be officially unveiled at Sierra Vista Area's Habitat for Humanity 2nd Annual Playhouse Fundraiser held on October 2nd and 3rd, 2010, in conjunction with Art-In-The-Park in Veterans Memorial Park, Sierra Vista, AZ (located on Fry Blvd. at the corner of Calle Portal/Jean Randall Way). Afterward, the exhibits will be relocated to the Mall at Sierra Vista until Halloween, when the winners will be drawn.
For tickets, please contact Cox Communications, 150 E. Wilcox Drive, Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 (520) 458-4705 or Habitat for Humanity© Sierra Vista Area, Inc., P.O. Box 1574, Sierra Vista, AZ 85636,

Together, we can make a difference.

Commercial Play Village Extraordinaire!
This job is so FUN! I get to speak to so many fascinating people from all over the US and the world: Ukraine, Turkey, Greece, Norway, Croatia, Australia, India, Cyprus, Slovakia, Russia, even tiny Luxembourg! It's a virtual geography lesson around here sometimes!
About eighteen months ago, we received an email from a gentleman in Ankara, Turkey. He had big dreams of building a children's sports and leisure center. He knew we had extensive experience in building commercial play villages and wanted to collaborate on this project. He explained his vision of a playhouse village with a grocery store, art museum, fire department, movie theater, town hall, hospital, and on and on, supported with musical activities, an arts-and-craft center, a gym area, and a track for cars to drive around...it made me want to be a kid again!
We spent months with our new friend planning, designing, building, shipping, and then, Steve flew over to Ankara to oversee and assist with the installation.
Ladies and Gentlemen, without further ado, I present to you the exquisite Mini-Town of Ankara, Turkey, the most adorable children's sports and leisure center any child could ever dream of!
