Make-A-Wish and Lilliput Play Homes: A Very Special Relationship

There's no more heartbreaking - and heartwarming - experience than working with the amazing folks at Make-A-Wish to fulfill a Wish for some brave, beautiful child somewhere, suffering indignities most of us adults can't even imagine. 

Over the past 20 years, Lilliput Play Homes has been honored to work with many of the chapters across the US, most recently sending an Olde Firehouse to Collegeville, PA, a Lil' Raskal's Lookout to Murrysville, PA, and a custom Cotton Candy Manor to Vista, CA. 

Several months ago, I received an inquiry from the San Diego chapter of Make-A-Wish inquiring about a custom playhouse that would incorporate the look of Disney's Tangled with some play activities for their Wish child.  Over a period of weeks, we designed several looks for the Wish family to contemplate, adding one feature, omitting another, until at last, we had created the perfect playhouse.  Turns out, Emma, our adorable Wish child, loves to draw and create but still wanted some fun play activities for her family and friends.  Here's what Emma sent us (I'd say we either have a future architect or master playhouse designer in our midst!):
