Goodbye and Good Luck!!!

On behalf of all of us here at Lilliput Play Homes I would like to extend our heartfelt good wishes to our longtime Director of Sales Patty Toner as she leaves our company to pursue other opportunities.

Patty has been the face of our company for eight years.  She has taken a bunch of knuckleheads from Finleyville and transformed us into one of the most respected brands in our industry.  She guided us through good times and not so good times. Her energy, enthusiasm, and infectuois laugh has always brightened our office each day she walked through the door.  We will miss her talents and her wisdom. And I will miss my very good friend.

Activity-Packed Playhouses for Boys

Nothing is as important to a happy chilhood as imaginative play.  At Lilliput Play Homes, we don’t just build standard and custom playhouses, we help nurture the spark of creativity, allowing your little ones to explore their imaginations safely.  Plus they’ll be having so much fun, they won’t even know they’re learning this important skill!

We are often asked to recommend a great boy’s playhouse.  While we believe all of our playhouses will stimulate boys and girls alike, we do have some suggestions that will appeal to their desire to explore and climb.  Check out these fun options for playhouses for boys:

The Olde Firehouse will surely spark your boy’s imagination and heroism.  Designed to be action-packed, this classic playhouse comes ready for adventure with a ladder, spacious loft, authentic hose & reel, clanging fire bell, and, of course, fire pole. Imagine your little guy’s excitement as he rushes to a fire call to rescue his beloved teddy bear!

Fire-breathing dragons will be slayed in your adorable Castle Playhouse, featuring a rock-climbing wall, courtyard, and medieval detailing.  Watch in delight as your little guy pretends to be one of the Knights of the Roundtable from days of yore.  This is surely one of our favorite boy’s playhouses….there’s even a secret room hidden behind the fireplace! The Sassafras Castle also presents a great educational opportunity to teach your young knight-in-training about the stories of King Arthur, Merlin, and times of chivalry.

Looking for something more rustic for mischievous boys? Then look no further than our Lil’ Raskal’s Lookout! This boy’s playhouse is the perfect outdoor clubhouse, complete with loft and telescope to alert the rascals of mom and dad’s approach.  Who could ask for a better place for sleepovers, games, and secret club meetings?  Another fun family touch: all the signs can be personalized.

Introducing: The Tower of Fun!

How do you make an attractive and durable Lilliput playhome even more enjoyable? You add the Tower of Fun!

What's exactly is the Tower of Fun? Think "swing set," but infinitely more charming and creative!

Lilliput Play Homes' Tower of Fun is centered around a 10' tall tower that incorporates a rock-climbing wall, a slide, a telescope, and an interior fireplace that serves as the entrance to your secret tunnel with hidden exit (the picket fence)! Options include a 3 or 4-position swing beam with swings and rope disc.

How much fun will this be?!

This activity-laden feature can be added to any playhouse in our Town & Country Playhouse Collection.

Lilliput's Signature "Attention To Detail"

I love when clients invite us into their world by sharing photos and details of their own homes.

Normally, clients ask if we can paint the playhouse in similar (or the same) paint colors as the family home. "Absolutely," I assure them.

Often, clients ask if we can change the dimensions of the playhouse.  "No problem," I reply.

In a recent conversation with a client, the woman asked about changing the paint colors and the dimensions of the playhouse; she needed a slightly smaller width on the Princess Cottage to fit her yard.  I diligently made my notes and offered to provide her with a CAD rendering of her playhouse, to make sure we had all the details correct.

Then, she asked if we could duplicate the festoons over her windows and door.  I admit, I was stumped.  First, I had to figure out what a "festoon" was!

     fes·toon (noun)

     1.  a string or chain of flowers, foliage, ribbon, etc., suspended in a curve between two points.
     2.  a decorative representation of this, as in architectural work or on pottery.
     3.  a fabric suspended, draped, and bound at intervals to form graceful loops or scalloped folds.

I consulted with my boss, Steve, and our Production Manager, Ron (who happens to also be a genius on the CNC router).  "Sure," was their response (I think they already knew what a festoon was).

We presented her with this sample:

She was thrilled.  "Perfect!" she cried.
And so, this adorable playhouse came to be:

Oh yeah.  And note the "wrought iron grill" Ron added to her front door.

Attention-to-detail is just one of the many benefits you receive with every Lilliput play home, standard or custom.

The "WOW!" That Lasts A Lifetime

Can't you just hear the squeals of delight when she saw her new Cotton Candy Manor?

Or see that little guy opening the front door of his new Lil' Raskal's Lookout, peering in with awe and amazement?

Childhood races by.  No one knows that better than us adults!

I love when clients share stories of their own excitement when presenting their children (or grandchildren) with a Lilliput play home.
  • A grandmom actually slept outside in the playhouse the night before her grandchildren were going to see their playhouse for the first time;
  • A mom told me she's had a photo of our Storybook Bungalow on her refrigerator ever since she found out she was pregnant with their first child...yesterday she purchased it to celebrate her daughter's 3rd birthday this spring.  I can only imagine that party;
  • The older sister who is passing her children's playhouse down to her younger sister's growing family.
The stories go on and on.  Families who not only cherish, but celebrate, the joy and magic of childhood.

Let Lilliput Play Homes turn your dreams into their squeals of delight.  Cherish those precious childhood years for a lifetime.
