Dear Lucky Children of Dallas,
2011 is going to be a very, very fun year for you! On Saturday, January 29th, Kidville Dallas is going to celebrate its Grand Opening - and from there on out, you will be so busy playing and discovering and imagining, time will literally fly!
Kidville Dallas is going to be amazing. I have had the pleasure of working with the creative, inspirational new owners, Charmaine Tang and Amy Zicarelli, on the most adorable, activity-packed play village you could imagine. Your very own child-sized play village will include a 50's style Gas Station, adorable Diner, charming Beauty Boutique, and activity-centered Market. In the center of town will be your very own McKinney Avenue Trolley ready to transport you wherever you need to go.
Children and parents alike will be delighted by the fun and activities available at Kidville Dallas. Mark your calendars now: January 28th is the start of something BIG!

Parenting: When Less is More (or Never Underestimate the Power of Play)
Anyone who has browsed through our website knows we at Lilliput Play Homes are big believers in celebrating the fun and magic of childhood. We encourage hands-on play time and build our playhouses to facilitate that end. We know (instinctively and by reading all the research) that inspiring creativity and imagination in young children is vital in helping them discover and reach their full potential.
I read this article today by Dr. Jim Taylor on The Lost Art of Play. It is a wonderful, concise piece on how we as parents can help our children recapture the magic and value of play time. I hope you will take a minute to read it.

You lucky, lucky Chicagoans! The wait is almost over!
Steve is spending next week in the Windy City helping Shannon Valko and Rob Spengler, the proud owners of Little Beans Cafe, install the cutest play village your children have ever seen!
Little Beans Cafe, a family cafe and imaginative playspace, will feature our newest collection of commercial playhouses: a Firehouse with Burning Building and climb-on Fire Truck, a Market with an awesome climb up-slide down Delivery Truck, a Gas Station (with pump, of course!), and a playhouse with kitchen and piano.
Grab your kids, call your friends and head on down to Little Beans Cafe!
Open daily, Little Beans will offer open play for the kids, classes for the parents, special events and birthday parties. Featuring a full line of coffee and tea, breakfast sandwiches, bakery items, paninis, cupcakes, and kid favorites like grilled cheese and hot dogs, Little Beans will quickly become the urban escape for parents who want quality time alongside their children without sacrificing the comfort and sophistication of an adult outing.
Stay tuned....pictures will follow very soon!!
